Zoxazolamine is a centrally acting myorelaxant. It is formerly used as an antispasmodic and uricosuric. Zoxazolamine decreases dopaminergic turnover and induces a pacemaker-like discharge pattern in dopaminergic neurons. Zoxazolamine is used as a tool for assessing hepatic cytochrome P-450 activity.
