Uridine 5'-diphosphoglucose disodium salt is an agonist of the P2Y14 receptor, with EC50 of 0.35 μM. Uridine 5′-diphosphoglucose disodium salt (UDP-Glucose sodium salt) can also bind to and activate GPR17, inducing oligodendrocyte differentiation at a maximal concentration of 100 μM. Uridine 5'-diphosphoglucose disodium salt is the precursor of glucose-containing oligosaccharides, polysaccharides, glycoproteins, and glycolipids in animal tissues and in some microorganisms.
