Treprostinil sodium (UT-15, Remodulin, Orenitram, Tyvaso, Trevyent) is a stabilized tricyclic analog of prostacyclin and a potent DP1 and EP2 agonist with EC50 values of 0.6±0.1 and 6.2±1.2 nM, respectively. Treprostinil promotes vasodilation and inhibits platelet aggregation in pulmonary and systemic arterial vascular beds, and can be used in studies related to pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).
