Sudan Black B is a fat-soluble dye that stains lipids in cells brownish-black and localizes within the cytoplasm. Sudan Black B staining is commonly used in histochemistry to distinguish paraffin from animal fats, myelin staining, leukocyte granules and Golgi organ staining, staining of lipids in cells and tissues.
