Rn-9893 is an effective compound that selectively antagonizes the transient receptor potential ion channel TRPV4. The IC50 values of RN-9893 on human, rat and mouse TRPV4 receptors were 420 nM, 660 nM and 320 nM, respectively. Rn-9893 showed no inhibition of TRPV1 at the concentration of 10 μM, the IC50 of TRPV3 was >, the IC50 of TRPV3 was 30 μM, and the IC50 of TRPM8 was about 30 μM. Rn-9893 showed good selectivity for 54 common biological targets.
