Biological Activity

Fas Ligand is the ligand for FAS, it is a transmembrane protein which binds to TNFRSF6/FAS. Fas Ligand may be involved in cytotoxic T-cell mediated apoptosis and in T-cell development. TNFRSF6/FAS-mediated apoptosis may have a role in the induction of peripheral tolerance, in the antigen-stimulated suicide of mature T-cells, or both.

The recombinant mouse Fas Ligand consists of 158 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 18.2 kDa. A DNA sequence encoding the mouse Fas Ligand (Pro132-Leu279) was expressed with a polyhistidine tag at the N-terminus.

Endotoxin < 1 EU/µg

Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4.
