Recombinant Human FGF-8b Protein is a heparin-binding growth factor, which plays a core role in prenatal development, postnatal growth and regeneration of various tissues by promoting cell proliferation and other effect. FGF-8 (FGF-8b) belongs to the FGF family. Human and mouse FGF-8A and B are exactly the same, while human and mouse FGF-8E and F are 98% identical. FGF-8 mainly targets breast cancer cells and other cells that express FGF receptors.
The recombinant human FGF-8b protein contains 431 amino acids and the predicted molecular weight is 49.3kd.
Determined by the dose-dependent stimulation effect of thymine expressing FGF receptor in BaF3 cells, ED50 value should be ≤1 ng/ml, combined with its specific activity ≥1×106 IU/mg.
