Biological Activity

Quinine sulfate hydrate (2:1:4) is an orally active potassium channel inhibitor that inhibits voltage pulse-induced currents in MT mSlo3 (KCa5.1) channels +100 mV with an IC50 of 169 μM.In addition, Quinine sulfate hydrate binds to PfPNP with low nanomolar affinity. In addition, Quinine sulfatehydrate binds to purine nucleoside phosphorylase (PfPNP) with low nanomolar affinity.
