Prodigiosin (Prodigiosine), a natural red pigment, is a biologically active secondary metabolite. Prodigiosin is a potent inhibitor of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway. Prodigiosin has antibacterial, antifungal, antiprotozoal, antimalarial, immunosuppressive and anti-cancer properties.
