Poly-L-ornithine is a specialized coating that acts as a charge modifier. It is a polycationic synthetic amino acid polymer. Poly-L-ornithine hydrobromide (L-Ornithine homopolymer hydrobromide) is a biochemical reagent that can be used as a biological material or organic compound for life science related research. Poly-L-ornithine hydrobromide has been used to coat coverslips in culture vessels for culturing neural progenitor cells. It has also been used to coat culture plates for culturing cerebral cells of mice.
