NX-13 is a novel oral small molecule NLRX1 agonist, which can increase oxidative phosphorylation in immune cells, decrease the differentiation of effector CD4+ T cells, and reduce the production of inflammatory cytokines in the gastrointestinal tract through activation of the NLRX1 pathway, and can be used in studies related to ulcerative colitis (UC).
