NS309 is a positive modulator of small- and intermediate- conductance Ca2+-activated K+ channels (KCa2 and KCa3.1 channels). NS309 increases Ca2+ sensitivity. NS309 displays no activity at BK channels. NS309 inhibits the spontaneous phasic contraction amplitude, force, frequency, duration and tone of isolated DSM strips in a concentration-dependent manner.
