Lalistat 2 is a selective Lysosomal acid lipase inhibitor (IC50 = 152 nM). Lalistat 2 exhibits no inhibition of human pancreatic lipase or bovine milk lipoprotein lipase (up to 10 μM). Lalistat 2 is commonly used to investigate the cell-specific functions of LAL and LAL deficiency in vitro, as well as specifically measure LAL activity in human blood samples or cells.
