Applications:
Metal Surface Modification: Alpha-lipoic acid firmly adheres to metal surfaces via its disulphide bonds. LA-PEG-FITC is frequently employed to modify nanoparticles such as gold and silver, enhancing their biocompatibility and imparting fluorescent signals. This facilitates tracking nanoparticle behaviour in in vivo or in vitro experiments.
Nanomaterial Labelling and Modification: This complex can modify nanoparticles, quantum dots, iron oxides, and similar materials, finding extensive application in nanomedicine, drug delivery systems, and biosensor development.
