L-NMMA acetate is a nitric oxide synthase inhibitor of all NOS isoforms, with Ki values of approximately 0.18, 0.4, and 6 µM for nNOS (rat), eNOS (human), and iNOS (mouse), respectively. It acts by inhibiting the generation of NO from arginine. L-NMMA acetate is an endothelium-derived relaxing factor inhibitor.
