Isoproterenol hydrochloride is a non-selective β-adrenoceptor, inhibits the 3H-inositol phosphate accumulation with IC50 of 0.08 μM. Isoprenaline hydrochloride also increases blood flow to the limbs and extremities. Activation of β2 receptors activates downstream PKA and ERK, and may stimulate NO-mediated endothelium-dependent smooth muscle relaxation.
