Huanglian Extract is derived from the dried rhizomes of Coptis chinensis Franch., Coptis deltoidea C.Y.Cheng et Hsiao, or Coptis teeta Wall., plants belonging to the Ranunculaceae family. Huanglian Extract possesses multiple activities and effects, including antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, hypoglycaemic, and hypolipidemic properties. Huanglian Extract primarily contains alkaloids such as berberine, palmatine, and chelidonine.
