Biological Activity

Glycyrrhizic acid is a triterpenoid saponinl, acting as a direct HMGB1 antagonist, with anti-tumor, anti-diabetic activities. Glycyrrhizic acid may have potential as a therapeutic agent in cerebral ischemia by preventing oxidative stress. Glycyrrhizic acid would be a promising carrier for the oral delivery of PTX.
