Fk3311, a novel anti-inflammatory compound, is a selective inhibitor of COX-2, an intracellular enzyme that converts arachidonic acid to prostaglandin (PG)G2 and PGH2. Fk-3311 showed 81 and 62% inhibition at 100 mg/kg P.O, respectively.
