FITC-Lysozyme is a fluorescently labelled protein formed by the covalent conjugation of fluorescein isothiocyanate with lysozyme, combining the antibacterial activity of lysozyme with the fluorescent tracing capability of FITC. FITC-Lysozyme serves as a commonly employed tool molecule in biomedical research, playing a particularly significant role in studies of antibacterial mechanisms, protein transport, and cell biology.
Application:
Cell Biology and Imaging
Enables observation of fluorescently labelled lysozyme for tracking intracellular distribution, phagocytosis, and endosomal transport; suitable for live-cell experiments and fluorescence confocal microscopy imaging.
Bacterial Research
Observes lysozyme binding and lysis processes on bacterial surfaces; assesses bacterial activity and targeted effects.
Drug Delivery and Nanosystem Research
FITC-Lysozyme can be conjugated to nanocarriers to monitor protein loading and release behaviour; employed in designing smart drug delivery systems and biomolecular transport platforms.
Biosensing and Detection
Fluorescently labelled proteins may be utilised for immunoassays, binding kinetics studies, or biochip analyses.
