Eleutheroside E is a principal component of Eleutherococcus enticosus, has anti-inflammatory and protective effects in ischemia heart. Eleutheroside E (10 μM) treatment for 24h increased basal glucose uptake as well as improved TNF-α-mediated suppression of glucose uptake.
In vivo, Eleutheroside E (30 and 60 mg/kg) treatment obviously decreased the arthritis scores and body weight loss in CIA mice (P<0.01).
