EG00229 Trifluoroacetate is the first small molecule inhibitor of the neuropilin-1 and VEGF-A interaction with an IC50 of inhibition of 8 uM (125I-VEGF binding to PAE/NRP1 cells). EG00229 Trifluoroacetate reduced VEGF-A-induced VEGFR2 tyrosine phosphorylation in HUVECs in a dose-dependent fashion, with a maximum inhibition of 34% at 100 μM. EG00229 also significantly reduced VEGF-A induced migration of HUVECs.
