DMG-PEG2000-NHS is a highly efficient, versatile lipid-PEG conjugate that is widely used in the fields of drug delivery, bioimaging and biomaterials. DMG-PEG2000-NHS possesses lipophilic (DMG), water-soluble (PEG) and reactive (NHS ester) properties, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. It enables targeted drug delivery by conjugating to target molecules via the NHS ester group. The PEG chains reduce immune responses and prolong circulation time in vivo.
Applications:
Drug delivery systems: The liposomal structure of DMG enables it to fuse effectively with cell membranes, facilitating the intracellular delivery of drugs. This property makes it particularly suitable for the design of drug delivery systems capable of interacting directly with cells.
Surface functionalisation: The high reactivity of the NHS group allows DMG-PEG-NHS to react with molecules containing primary amines to form stable amide bonds. This allows drugs, targeting ligands or other bioactive molecules to be covalently attached to the surface of liposomes or other carriers, enabling targeted delivery and enhancing therapeutic specificity.
