Biological Activity

Curcumol ((-) -curcumol) is a bioactive sesquiterpene with many pharmacological activities, such as anti-cancer, anti-microbial, anti-fungal, antiviral and anti-inflammatory. Curcumol can effectively induce apoptosis in many cancer cells by targeting key signaling pathways such as MAPK/ERK, PI3K/Akt and NF-κB, which are often abnormally regulated in several cancers.
