Biological Activity

Chlorhexidine is a disinfectant and topical anti-infective agent. Chlorhexidine is used to clean the skin after an injury, before surgery, or before an injection. Chlorhexidine gluconate (ip) reduces postoperative intra-abdominal infection in mice at the end of colon surgery.
