BNS-22 is a derivative of natural product GUT-70 isolated from the stem bark of Calophyllum brasiliense exhibits antiproliferative activity against human cancer cells. It appears that BNS-22 is a specific DNA-topoisomerase II (TOPO2) catalytic inhibitor. BNS-22 does not induce DNA damage.
