Biological Activity

BLT-4 is a blocker of lipid transport-4 (BLT-1). BLT-4 is a specific, reversible inhibitor of SR-BI (Scavenger receptor, class B, type I) mediated lipid transfer. The molecule blocks the cellular uptake and transfer of cholesterol ester from HDL.
