Aurantio-obtusin is an anthraquinone compound isolated from cassia seeds, which has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anticoagulant and antihypertensive effects. Aurantio-obtusin is a potential novel vasodilator for systemic arterial relaxation via endothelial PI3K/AKT/ ENOS-dependent signaling pathway in rats. Aurantio-obtusin inhibits IgE mediated mast cells and allergic reactions in allergic models, which has the potential to study allergy-related diseases.
