Armepavine is an active compound from Nelumbo Nucifera, which not only has anti-inflammatory effect on human peripheral blood monocytes, but also has immunosuppressive effect on T lymphocytes and lupus nephritis mice. Armepavine inhibits TNF-α - induced MAPK and NF-κB signaling cascade.
