| Description: | Loperamide hydrochloride is a high affinity μ-opioid receptor agonist with peripheral selectivity with Ki values of 2, 48 and 1156 nM for μ-, δ- and κ-opioid receptors respectively. Loperamide hydrochloride is also a selective and competitive human intestinal carboxylesterases (hiCE) inhibitor. It can be used to construct animal models of functional constipation. |
