| Description: | Eniporide hydrochloride (EMD-96785 hydrochloride) is a Na(+)/H(+) exchange (NHE) inhibitor that specifically inhibits the NHE-1 isoform. In addition, Eniporide improves cardiac performance depression associated with myocardial ischemia/reperfusion in animals, limits infarct size, and modulates cardiac performance and high-energy phosphate content in a clinically relevant porcine model of extracorporeal circulation (CPB) and cardiac arrest. |
