| Description: |
DQ-BSA-Red is a fluorescent lysosomal activity molecular probe based on bovine serum albumin (BSA). The BSA molecule undergoes multi-site high-concentration labeling with a red fluorescent dye. Due to the high concentration of distributed fluorescent probes, the labeled BSA molecule exhibits significant fluorescence self-quenching. When degraded within functional, active lysosomes, DQ-BSA-Red generates BSA protein fragments. These fragments possess isolated fluorophores, thereby releasing the dye from self-quenching and emitting bright fluorescence within cells. Dysfunctional lysosomes, however, cannot degrade the BSA protein, resulting in significantly reduced or nearly absent fluorescence signals. |
| Stability and Solubility Advice: |
Information concerning product stability, particularly in solution, has rarely been reported and in most cases we can only offer a general guide.
We recommend that stock solutions, once prepared, are stored aliquoted in tightly sealed vials and used within 1 month. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles. Storage conditions for some special products should refer to their storage details. |
