| Description: | Deoxyshikonin was isolated from comfrey Lithospermum erythrorhizon with antitumor activity. Deoxyshikonin increases the expression of VEGF-C and VEGF-A mRNAs in HMVEC-dLy, promotes the interaction of HIF-1α and HIF-1β subunits, and binds to HIF-specific DNA sequences. |
