| Description: | Calcium pyruvate is a calcium supplement. Upon entering the body, calcium pyruvate is first converted by gastric hydrochloric acid into the weakly acidic organic compound pyruvic acid. This form readily permeates cell membranes to enter cells, where it reaches the mitochondria via osmosis. There, it facilitates the oxidation and combustion of transported fatty acids (primarily long-chain types) to generate energy. |
| Stability and Solubility Advice: | Information concerning product stability, particularly in solution, has rarely been reported and in most cases we can only offer a general guide. We recommend that stock solutions, once prepared, are stored aliquoted in tightly sealed vials and used within 1 month. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles. Storage conditions for some special products should refer to their storage details. |
