Description: 3-O-trans-p-Coumaroyltormentic acid is a triterpene having no cytotoxic activity. However, 3-O-cris-p-Coumaroyltormentic acid is a cytotoxic triterpene, can be isolated from the methanol extract of Goreishi (the feces of Trogopterus xanthipes Milne-Edwards).
